The project at Level 5, 161 Collins Street involved the rectification and reinstatement of a concrete slab due to issues caused by a previous builder. Urban Core’s innovative approach included using concrete with a higher compressive strength than originally specified. This allowed the concrete to reach the required MPa in a shorter time, enabling the removal of shoring and propping sooner, which expedited the construction process and minimized potential delays.
